Koraput (Koshal Prahari) : Guru Diwas was celebrated with great pomp at Shailwala Institute of Nursing and Medical Sciences and Shri Sai Shradha College campus located in Koraput Forest Colony. All the nursing students and teachers of the institute participated in this celebration. Highlights of the programme: Guru Poojan and Pradeep Prajwalan and the programme was started by offering floral wreaths to the portrait of former President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The teachers were felicitated and the students honoured their beloved tutors and teachers with bouquets and gifts and sought their blessings. Cultural program: Nursing students presented beautiful speeches and songs in the honor of their teachers. On this occasion, the teachers advised the students to serve the society by not only studying textbooks, but also as efficient and service-minded health workers. On this occassion , the Principal of the institution and college, Miss Purnima, vice-principal Miss Lalita, English lecturer Trinath Patnayak , Miss Jemima, Miss Basanti Bisoyi, Miss Japi, Miss Avashree were seen explaining the importance of Guru Diwas to the children. English lecturer Mr. Patnayak advised that children should always respect their parents and teachers properly and how children should build themselves as a golden person in the future.
